Members from the SHS African American Culture Club toured the University of South Florida today. The students and teachers would like to express their sincere appreciation to USF for providing them with an insightful look into campus life and all of the access that students have to world-class resources and modern amenities.
Congratulations to our Ag Mechanics Team for placing 3rd during Preliminary #3!! They will compete at the State Contest in April.
This week students and faculty from Florida Memorial University (an HBCU in south Florida) visited Sebring High School. The students were music students 🎼 from FMU and were able to perform for the SHS music students as well as share experiences of what it is like to major in music in college. The FMU students also visited with SHS students in our courtyard answering questions and sharing their FMU experiences with SHS students. Thank you to Dr. J and the FMU Choral students for pouring into our Blue Streaks⚡️ this week!

South Florida State College Recruiter, Sofia Ochoa spoke with the majority of the SHS Freshman class this past week visiting the classes of Mrs. Toianetsha Hicks and Mrs. Melanie Jackson. Ms. Sofia shared information about SFSC and it's programs, options for technical and academic dual enrollment as well as information on criteria to search for when considering post-secondary education or training. She also shared the cost for college as well as options for securing financial aid to cover that cost. The students played an interactive review game and won prizes like a stuffed panther, an SFSC cup and SFSC Swag. SHS values it's partnership with SFSC!
Some of our Sebring High School students got to come and be a part of the race world (last week) with Ultimate Street Car Association's 1st race weekend of the season. A huge thank you from all of us at OUSCI to this great group of students out there shagging cones and being a part of the race industry🏎

Any 12th grader still needing to pass a mandated test for graduation will take the the SAT on Tuesday, March 5th.

-Schedule orientation
-Fill out FAFSA for financial aid & FFAA for Bright Futures Scholarship (Last FAFSA Family night 3/26)
-Check Class of 2024 Google classroom for local scholarship applications
